Join the Black Oak Restaurant and Tavern for a socially distant HALLOWEEN celebration. During the trunk or treat adults will decorate the back of their cars for Halloween, load up with candy and non-food treats (for those with allergies), and come sit in the parking lot for kids to "trick or treat" from car-to-car.
In order to participate all children must be in costume and adults wearing a face covering (either as part of their costume or a regular face mask).
Participating “trunks” must RSVP by Wednesday, October 21, 2020 to sheehan.kelley@gmail.com.
Participating trunks:
Starting at 10:00am, drive your vehicle to the designated area (north side of the parking lot) where the trunk or treat will take place and you will be directed where to park. You can bring your car decorated or decorate on site, but plan accordingly, your car must be parked before 10:45am.
We have approximately 275 trick or treaters registered, please plan on at minimum 1 piece per child. All items needs to be “manufacturer sealed” - no homemade treats.
Registered families should park on the side street (96th st) and find the entrance area (Pulaski entrance side) to check in. If there is a line already formed, we asked that you get in line and please wait your turn to enter the trunk or treat area (it should move fast!). In order to follow Covid safety precautions only a few groups will be allowed in the trunk or treat area at a time.

candy is to be distributed distantly where possible - we suggest a small table or a bowl for children to grab from.
After going through the trunk or treat families are asked to move out of the area and not to congregate. Groups are welcome to go into the Black Oak for a family friendly lunch or order food for carry-out by calling 708-572-4500. Remember, face masks are required while you are walking about the restaurant and when your waitress comes to the table.
